Berlin, 1980s, urban, bold- these are the words that come to mind when we look at the latest Sandro Men AW16 collection for men. Inspired by the urban Berlin of 30 years ago, Ilan Chetrite created a collection that speaks subtly but with a very strong statement of being moody, rebellious yet somewhat suitable for the majority of modern men.

Sandro Men AW16

While most of the line is painted in blacks and dark greys, there are occasional splashes of bright colours as well as shiny textures of black leather that bring us to the days of punk rock and electronica of the 80s Germany. The cropped loose trousers are officially here to stay, while the skinny pants and jeans are a big no-no for the autumn winter season this year, which is what we’ve seen at many other shows, including Lanvin, Valentino, Songzio and many others. Sandro AW16 is a strong collection that pays a well-executed tribute to Berlin urban scene in the 80s. Colour us impressed.
