Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome: The ease of your own apartment in a luxury hotel

Hotel de Rome embodies a flair for unifying apparent opposites. That means service that is friendly and familiar, but unobtrusive.

In much more than name, Rocco Forte Hotels is the Forte family. At its head are Sir Rocco, his sister Olga and his three children. Behind it are four generations of Forte hoteliers. It is in every way a family business; a shared love evident in every Rocco Forte hotel – each exuding the Forte’s innate Anglo-Italian style, sophistication and warmth.

Like Berlin itself, their Hotel de Rome embodies a flair for unifying apparent opposites. That means service that is friendly and familiar, but unobtrusive. It means a grand façade which belies a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.
Design by Tommaso Ziffer and Olga Polizzi that integrates sleek, modern styling into a venerable space; the ease of your own apartment in a luxury hotel. This happy blend of contrasts gives you an elegant outpost in an achingly cool city; a relaxed hideaway in the animated Mitte district. Face-to-face with the State Opera, a stroll from Museum Island, with a rooftop oasis that peacefully observes it all. Inside, a former jewel vault becomes an ethereal spa, a cashier’s hall becomes a mosaicked ballroom, and a historic building becomes a serene space in the core of an up-all-night city – the perfect place from which to embrace, explore and escape it.

The Hotel de Rome, a Rocco Forte Hotel is housed in the restored former headquarters of Dresdner Bank of 1889, unique in its combination of listed architecture and contemporary design, coupled with the highest level of comfort and very personal Rocco Forte service. As one of the few luxury hotels in an original historic building, the five-star superior hotel reflects the metropolis in a special way.

With 145 rooms and suites and its unique location on the historic Bebelplatz, it is an architectural jewel in the heart of Berlin and guarantees a private atmosphere. The Hotel de Rome belongs to “The Leading Hotels of the World”. It has recently received two awards at the 21st Busche Gala Awards: The five-star superior hotel on Berlin’s Bebelplatz received the award “Hotel of the Year 2019” and General Manager Gordon Debus received the award “Hotel Manager of the Year 2019”. Renowned speakers such as TV presenter Ulrich Wickert, former Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit and Dr. Dominik Pförringer presented the awards.
