With an intense week of media speculation surrounding the biggest wedding of the year, the day finally came, and it was magical! This is not an ordinary royal wedding, this is when Hollywood marries Fairytales wedding, full of A-List celebrities, dignitaries and the crème de la crème- bringing together an America bride and British groom.
The moment we’ve waited for arrived, and we finally got to see Meghan Markle’s wedding dress. The stunning bride wore a gorgeous gown from Givenchy’s Creative Director, Clare Waight Keller, a British designer who used to helm the fashion house Chloé. The number is subtle and simple, but elegant- with a beateau neckline, long sleeves, a drop waist and a stunning monarch-length veil. Her veil could have been a nod to Princess Diana’s epic train at her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles, however, Meghan accessorized her veil with Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, which she borrowed from Queen Elizabeth.
Meghan Markle, made a stunning entrance in Givenchy, by Clare Waight Keller, for her marriage at St. George’s Chapel, at Windsor Castle.
Looking every inch the fairy tale princess, Meghan wore Queen Mary’s diamond bateau tiara.
Following her beautiful entrance into the chapel alone with her group of adorable bridesmaids and Paige boys, which included Princess Charlotte and Prince George, HRH Charles Prince of Wales, met her half-way and accompanied her through the quire to her awaiting groom.
The wedding ceremony not only broke traditions in many ways, but made history in doing so, bringing an original appeal to the younger generation of the royals. Emerging from St George’s chapel to cheering crowds, the newlywed couple, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, took a carriage procession through Windsor town, which was alive and kicking with pomp and pageantry, from the buzzing crowds of the public wishing them well.
With two receptions- one in the afternoon for the invited public, and wedding guests, and a more private affair in the evening hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House, the day was full of glitz and glam and unforgettable moments bound by love and pride.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, stepped out to her evening reception wearing a simple yet stunning Stella McCartney mock-necked gown, with a stunning pair of diamond earrings, and one of Diana’s breath-taking rings in a vibrant shade of pale blue. Markle also drove home her somethings blue with a pair of custom Aquazzura shoes, which have pastel blue painted on their soles. Many are assuming that this ring was not “borrowed,” but that Harry gave it to his bride as a wedding day gift. However, Meghan found a way to incorporate both an ode to the late Princess Diana, and the tradition of a “something blue” into her look, by incorporating a breath-taking aquamarine cocktail ring from her late mother-in-law’s collection.

Choosing subtle and precise style choices, proves Meghan knows a thing or two about fashion. From her elegant and timeless wedding gown, and stunning veil that incorporated the countries of the commonwealth, to her sustainable and ethical choice of British designer, Stella McCartney, to finding a way to remember the people’s princess, her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana.
Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for not only marking the day as a magical day, but a historical day.
