Ralph & Russo have brought the house down this season with a show many would have killed to attend. The reason for that is their SS16 Haute Couture collection that featured pretty much anything imaginable and unimaginable for Haute Couture; we are talking large dresses, exquisite embroidery, lace, silk, and whatever else one could imagine. With all this opulence, however, we were still able to see and feel the essence of this Spring/Summer collection through the gentle colours (lilac, white and powdery pink) and seemingly weightless dresses.
There was a strong reference to the pinned waistlines of the 50s, which added the Hollywood glamour and class of that era. When it came to the finale, the bridal gown was the embodiment of the perfect bridal dream. In other words, Ralph & Russo delivered an incredibly rich and cohesive collection that felt complete and inviting.
