This season, Philipp Plein welcomes guests to his Cannes villa for a double celebration during the upcoming Cannes film festival. The Philipp Plein men’s and women’s Resort 2018 fashion show will take place on Wednesday evening May 24th 2017 at La Jungle du Roi, Philipp Plein’s estate located in the hills overlooking Cannes.

Guests will also get a first look at the unveiling of the Alec Monopoly for Philipp Plein capsule collection, a series of wearable pieces of art that combine luxury Philipp Plein craftsmanship with Monopoly’s signature graffiti embellishments. A host of celebrities, VIPs, press members, friends and admirers are expected to attend this cocktail and garden catwalk to celebrate the new collections.

The Philipp Plein group which comprises the Philipp Plein, Plein Sport and Billionaire brands is known for creating legendary fashion shows in Milan, and just recently in New York. The world tour continues, this time the global destination of Cannes during its glamorous film festival being chosen as a backdrop for the brand’s first resort show in history, a strategic choice given the growing importance of pre-collections in the group’s commercial strategy.

“My Cannes villa is a place of tranquillity and inspiration for me” states the designer, “I enjoy spending time here and many of my ideas were conceived on these grounds. I used the same approach in designing this villa as I do for any of my collections, and I am happy to share this special part of my life with others on the occasion of the Philipp Plein resort 2018 presentation alongside the capsule collection launch with my good friend Alec Monopoly.”
