Monday night Vida Downtown Dubai unveiled the stunning video installation from artist Owais Husain, which explores the themes of memory, displacement and identity. The towering stack of seven steel trunk screens entitled, ‘Empires of Memory’ illuminates the entrance of the boutique hotel with its strong aesthetics and powerful presence, enveloping the hotel in a blanket of creativity. Throughout the night the artist mingled with guests to discuss in depth this latest work while art lovers from all over the city came to admire and explore the abstract beauty of his installation, enjoying light refreshments in a relaxed, artistic atmosphere.

The contemporary work of art, which portrays complex aspects of humanity through mixed mediums, launches a new chapter of the Art in Vida platform which supports regional talent and continues to forge a solid bond between Vida Downtown Dubai and the UAE’s creative community. The interactive exhibition will be on display at the boutique hotel from March 13^th until April 15^th with its unveiling during Art Week, as the city is bursting with creativity.
