Syrian designer Rami Al Ali, returns to Paris for the thirteenth season, to present his Spring/Summer 18 Couture collection, at the sumptuous setting of the Hotel Ritz Paris. The collection tells the harmonious intertwined story, between the art and elegance of The Hall of Mirrors, at the Amalienborg Palace.

Inspired by the beautiful silver wall carvings of Johann Joachim Dietrich, at The Hall of Mirrors, the collection showcases elegance and creativity at its finest. From the elegant baroque mirror designs, to the chic crystal chandeliers, the white ceiling and blue stucco work, Rami Al Ali took in every element and detail to create the designs, the structures and to define the colour palette.

Bringing imagination to reality, Rami Al Ali used luxurious fabrics and several techniques to create volume and structure to highlight the feminine silhouette. From satin to crepe, organza, tulle & chiffon the fabrics created soft, flowing, structured and textured silhouettes, befitting the brand’s signature feminine aesthetic, whilst time-honoured techniques are incorporated to modernise the classic embroidery.

Shades of metal grey and doeskin, dominates the collection while powder lemon, crystal pink and pastel green come in to complete the blending of the colour palette, and to add a touch of romance.

Rami Al Ali’s inspiration in this collection shows how unique craftsmanship and historical inspiration, can be combined through the art of couture.
