Power and femininity are the mainstays of Brazilian designer Paula Cademartori’s Resort 2019 collection, packed with energy and new inspiration.
“I feel very in tune with this particular moment in time where everyone is talking about female empowerment. I wanted to pay homage to the resolute and assertive side we women possess without neglecting our ability to be seductive or our desire to be beautiful. What sparked my imagination was a virtually “cosmic” image of femininity- as if women were the natural instruments of a universal and magical force. Like the sky, the stars, galaxies of celestial bodies, the oceans or the realm of botany. I envisaged a woman who moves freely and confidently through a firmament of overwhelming, yet natural, energy”.
From this premise, the designer transforms striking images into sophisticated decorative elements which enhance each individual product, turning it into a genuine object of desire. The collection’s crowning glory is the Wild Jungle line, in which sumptuous three-dimensional embroidery turns stars into a constellation of botanical and marine motifs that inhabit a dense fantasy jungle- a figurative leitmotif that reappears on evergreens and fascinating new shapes of handbags and footwear.
Constantly evolving, the brand’s iconic geometric motif is reintroduced in the Petals line, with an embossed print in various delicate pastel shades, embellished in turn by exquisite and original rose gold plating. A real country spirit is the inspiration for Western Groove, characterised by the elaborate juxtaposition of beautiful materials combined with tiny knots and multi-coloured geometric braiding.
The evening selection is enlivened by the Trinity models, featuring shiny leathers in combinations of metallic shades that work together for a look that’s glamorous, glitzy and elegant. The single-colour Rambo range introduces a jet-black leather, enhanced by the alluring contrast of pink stitched finishing and the iconic clasp in shiny silver-plated metal.
