When it comes to appreciating good food, Dubai should be on the destinations list for those looking to experience delicacies, high quality cuisine and pleasant service. After a long day at work, one longs to have a good meal in a relaxing atmosphere. This is why we ended up at The Beach latest destination Laduree- a French restaurant concept brought from Paris. Laduree is most known for its excellent pastry, specifically macaroons, so we had to go and give it a try.

It was a wonderful evening, a cool breeze was blowing through the terraces of JBR’s beach, on one of which we sat admiring the sunset. First and foremost, the terrace view of Laduree is amazing. We’ve started off with Pain Surprise, which was a dish served in a bread box with a creamy mixture of vegetables and mayonnaise inside followed by the main course Vol Au Vent- a wonderful pastry with mushroom paste that is served with chicken in a champignons sauce on top. The starter was very heavy, so was the main course, so we wouldn’t advise this particular combination for dinner, unless you prefer being immobile for a while after dinner. Needless to say we had no room for Ispahan dessert and had to take it home, which was greatly appreciated several hours later.

In the end, we were more than impressed by the overall experience Laduree offers; its location is perfect, while the service, food and incredible desserts take it up just a notch higher to better the Laduree dining experience. It was a must-try on our list and is now on our must-repeat list.
