Dolce & Gabbana Beauty: Alta Moda Lake Como

Dolce & Gabbana hosted an exclusive Alta Moda fashion show in the Parco Teresio Olivelli in Tremezzo, Como. The collection was inspired by Lake Como, which has been fascinating foreign travellers since the end of the 18th century with its ancient monuments and breath-taking landscapes; the place where Alessandro Manzoni set the most famous and widely read Italian novel, “The Betrothed”.

Dolce & Gabbana Muses, and Beauty faces;  Italian models Chiara Scelsi and Giulia Maenza, walked the exceptional fashion runway, and epitomized the beauty vision of the Designers.

The make-up look is sophisticated yet makes a statement, highlighting a healthy complexion with a natural glow, intense eyes with sculpted eyebrows and the iconic liner flicks. Eyes are adorned with precious gold hues, and lips are rich, filled with a variety of hues from soft pinks, true reds and passionate burgundy– to echo the colourful palette of sumptuous dresses.

Get The Look:

-A luminous and light coverage was achieved using the new MillennialSkin On-The-Glow Tinted Moisturizer, to create a perfect complexion with a fresh and natural finish.

-The Perfect Luminous Concealer was applied in small touches to lighten the shadowed areas and erase any remaining blemishes. Then, for added a natural healthy flush to the face, the soft formula of the Creamy Blush in Rosa Carina 30 was swept onto the apples of the cheeks and up towards the ears. To deepen this instant radiant finish, the Creamy Illuminator in Rosa Del Mattino 60 was used along the cheekbones, the nose and the Cupid’s bow.

-To create the perfect base for the eyes, the pearly gold rose shade of the Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Goldust 20 was blended across the eyelids. Complementary hues from The Eyeshadow Duo in Gold 130, was used to add shimmer and jewel-like colours.

-The most wearable yet unique feline gaze was achieved using The Eyeliner in Nero 1, its rich texture blurred along the bottom and upper lash lines to define the eyes look.

-Along the top of the upper lash, a slick line of Glam Liner in Black Intense 1 was precisely drawn, to create the signature liner flicks suiting all shapes of eyes.

Lips are rich, filled with a variety of hues from soft pinks, true reds and passionate burgundy – to echo the colourful palette of sumptuous dresses.

-A touch of The Eyeliner in Gold 3 was applied in the inner corners, and along the black eyeliner line to create a precious gold hint and recall the ornamental pieces from the Alta Moda collection.

-The Passioneyes Mascara in Nero 1 was applied after and layered up on the outer corners of the lashes to obtain a volumizing finish.

-Brows were shaped and filled with the lightweight texture of The Brow Liner in a shade matching the models hair colour.

-On the lips, tailor-made looks were created to find the perfect colour-match and accentuate each femininity. A palette of lush colours, of various intensity from warm nudes to delicate pinks from vivacious reds deep plums and a play of textures; the perfect matte finish of Dolce Matte Lipstick and the rich creamy finish conferred by the Classic Cream Lipstick.

-Nails are painted with The Nail Lacquer in nude and soft pink hues, to accent the high sophistication of the looks.

Before entering the catwalk, the models were perfumed with the refined and hypnotic fragrance Velvet Love– a homage to the Lake Como, with flowery and spicy notes.
