CHANEL gets ready for a new ski season in Courchevel.
As the first snow-covered slopes start to open, CHANEL takes up residence in Courchevel at the same boutique as last winter in a fully remodelled décor. Extending over 160m2 and two floors, this beautiful space draws inspiration from the architecture and vibrant colours of Cuba. A concept that gives the impression the exterior has been summoned inside.
In tribute to the 2016/17 Cruise collection, the scenography mixes up the atmosphere of Havana with the codes of CHANEL. The visitor is invited to enter by passing through a dark wood arch pierced with loopholes. Deployed behind the windows, this openwork structure runs around the entire boutique and also features on a solid cube positioned in the middle of the boutique that houses a spacious fitting room. Panels coated with natural pigments adorn the walls of the ground floor and the lower level. The floor is covered with a deep pile carpet in shades of aubergine while a wrought iron staircase is reminiscent of the historical boutique at 31, rue Cambon.
On the inside of the loopholes we discover the accessories, the J12, Première and BOY.FRIEND watches as well as the Coco Crush fine jewellery line that will be joining a selection of High Jewellery creations in January. Ready-to-Wear and handbags are displayed on hanging rails in bronze hued aluminium. This warm metal is picked up again with a long table and two large benches, ideal for a quiet moment with the clients. The chaise longues in brick red suede and black leather as well as the poufs in exotic woods with their undulating forms are also an invitation to take time out.
The CHANEL ephemeral boutique in Courchevel will be opened from December 14th until the end of April 2017.
