Creative Director of Coach, Stuart Vevers, presented his SS19 Men’s and Women’s collection for the brand at Pier 94 in New York City. This season, the collection was about assembling and reconstructing the craft and spirit of the American look.

A new, new romantic gang; dreamers traversing an unravelling prairie landscape in the wake of their revolution, trailing scavenged and salvaged American heirlooms. A collaboration with Disney re-contextualizes and remixes beloved American pop culture icons, creating relics for the future.

Inspired by a trip to Santa Fe and by the Ghost Ranch retreat at which Georgia O’Keeffe painted some of her most iconic work, Coach’s creative director chose a decaying America as his starting point for next season. Vevers is infatuated with the idea of personalisation and customisation. Accordingly, his latest collection was all about salvaging and scavenging with the designer looking to construct a contemporary version of Americana through codes borrowed from the past.

The runway show audience included actress, singer and current face of the brand, Selena Gomez, Maisie Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, to Jon Batiste; Guan Xiaotong, Tommy Dorfman, as well as Olly Alexander, Petra Collins, Paloma Elsesser, to key editors, stylists, retailers and influencers.

Key models who walked in the show included model of the moment; Kaia Gerber, as well as Kiko Mizuhara, Anna Collins and Dree Hemingway, who closed the show.
