Acne Studios presented its AW16 collection for men with a strong reference to the 40’s tailoring, Swedish folklore and the uniform of a practicing artist. The line is dominated by the subdued tones of navy, grey and ivory, oversized jackets, knitwear, and workwear pants that definitely highlight the trend for the autumn/winter season where the pants are in and skinny jeans are a big no-no. The socks are chunkier and thicker as well as sneakers which have extra tread, while the loosely-tied scarfs are yet another detail we particularly liked.

As a whole, Jonny Johansson delivered a strong collection that pushes the shapes that are acceptable to the max, while utilising excellent tailoring and a microscopic attention to detail. Super.
