Sikka Café Presents A Culinary Journey with Emirati Cuisine- Blending Persian and Indian Influences

Contemporary fusion eatery Sikka Café is showcasing the ‘Sikka Experience’ at its City Walk and La Mer venues. The set menu provides Dubai’s gourmets with the opportunity to savour eleven signature dishes in sample-sized portions and temptingly combines Emirati, Persian and Indian flavours in one complete meal.

The unique culinary journey starts with three cold mezze- a vegetable platter that includes carrots and cucumbers served with a labneh dip, Hummus Beiruti and Watermelon Salad with tomato, cucumber, feta cheese, za’atar, lemon juice and olive oil. As well as three hot mezze- Harra Fries with garlic, coriander and Emirati spices, Falafel with tahina dip and Chicken Liver with pomegranate molasses and walnuts.

The hearty mains include Machbous; which is slow-cooked aromatically spiced lamb with rice, or Persian kebab- succulent beef and chicken pieces in spiced saffron yoghurt, and the house favourite, Butter Chicken- boneless tandoori chicken in a lightly spiced tomato, cream and dry fenugreek gravy.

To wrap up the feast, the Sikka Experience offers an innovative take on labneh, with the Baked Labneh Cheesecake with date jam, and Legaimat- traditional Emirati sweet dumplings dipped in honey or date syrup.

To complement the sumptuous meal, diners can take their pick from the café’s eclectic drinks menu that offers a choice of traditional coffee and tea, as well as specialty concoctions such as Karak Frappé with caramel or date syrup, and a selection of healthy and delicious mocktails.
