Producer of the  upcoming fashion phenomenon on the Seine on 8 June has decided to postpone J Summer Fashion Show 2016 for a week due to the terrifying water level of the river. Jessica Minh Anh, known for  transforming the iconic Eiffel Tower into a catwalk, was ready to host the unique showcase on the moving Bateaux Mouches’ giant glass boat with the live backdrop of Paris’ famous architectural wonders. Facing the natural disaster, her team had to make immediate changes to every part of the event, which have effected hundreds of people.

“I am aware that the situation is devastating on many levels” said Jessica. “However, I also had a chance to witness how extremely nice and caring Parisians are in this time of need. Everyone has been very understanding and is now looking forward to the 15th June”.

A big fan of unconventional outdoor productions, this is not the first time Jessica Minh Anh has encountered unexpected weather condition. This time last year, exactly 2 hours before her  extraordinary catwalk in the middle of Spanish solar power plant Gemasolar, a big storm came and destroyed the entire backstage area. Jessica Minh Anh saved the day by turning a big bus into the new backstage area and went ahead with the show, which resulted in one of the most impressive fashion productions in history.

Although postponed to the 15th, the show is expected to be even bigger and better with more preparation time in place. “She will make it work, she always does”, said Ibtissem Akbache, backstage assistant “We really admire her leadership in such circumstances and our entire front stage and backstage team are with her 100%”

J Summer Fashion Show 2016, the  100-metre floating catwalk on the Seine River, will premier exquisite Haute Couture, Pret-a-Couture, Pret-a-Porte, and jewellery collections by Lebanese haute couturier Antoine Kareh, Polish designer Teresa Rosati, Pakistani talent Syeda Amera, Saudi Arabian brand Ot Kutyr Turk Jadallah, Ukrainian fashion house LaFress, German brand Miranda Konstatinidou, and Icelandic jeweler Jóhannes Ottósson.
