Messika Jewellery presented the second wave of their ‘Once Upon A Time’ High Jewellery Collection, during Paris Fashion Week. With Valerie’s passion for diamonds and her love of fashion, she has re-written some of the tales that once enchanted her as a child, exploring their themes with a feel for ‘couture’.

The Bright Falcon

In this fairytale world of heat and desire, Valérie Messika has designed fiery pieces created with an outstanding level of technical mastery. Blending various colours and cuts of diamonds, and using the innovative feather-setting technique (a half-setting concept studiously developed within Messika’s workshop to provide both flexibility and ergonomy), the pieces in this collection pay homage to the determination of this tale’s heroine.

The Arabian Nights ‘Persian Drops’

Valérie Messika takes us on a voyage through the Arabian Nights with 6 pieces influenced by oriental designs. She delights her audience in combining various diamond cuts, whose arrangements call to mind a stunningly star-filled night sky. In this imaginary world where light reigns supreme, the glittering diamonds illuminate the radiant skin of its heroines. With the sautoir necklace, ear cuff and other new-wear pieces, Valérie Messika draws inspiration from the cunning heroine Shahrazade to create a series of items that are both playful and full of sensual desire.
