It takes a lot for a brand to not need an introduction in this market and the Nissan Patrol
is one of them. It has achieved an almost, if not, a legendary status among local car
ownership.
While the world moves on to a direction of better fuel efficiency and technology, the
simple workings of a V8 offers security for those who enjoy long drives whether it be in
or out of the city. It’s one of the factors that drives the current popularity of the Patrol in
the UAE.
Comfort, comfort and more comfort. The Nissan Patrol is so spacious, it can effortlessly
sit a family of four or five, with room for more. The seats themselves are like lounge
chairs set so high that the visibility is excellent from anywhere. It’s an excellent cabin to
enjoy the hours on a long road trip. There’s plenty of room behind the second row which
leaves plenty of room for luggage as well.
The ride, over almost any surface, is impeccable. The Patrol is insulated, unruffled and
comfortable. It takes on a windy road so effortlessly and you’ll only feel the big 4WD
start to struggle if you tip it into tight bends way faster than you really should. Even then
it behaves predictably. Out in the country is where four-wheel drives like the Patrol
really belong. Its bump absorption and insulation are excellent, a reminder of how a
4WD or SUV should be, not trying to be sporty, but rather providing comfort and control
over any road surface. That means when you’re behind the wheel you almost float over
the road, making you feel safe and assured that you’re driving one of the most reliable
SUVs you can buy.
The Nissan Patrol remains a value-packed behemoth that is as capable as it is
comfortable. Even if you’re a one-vehicle family and you need something that solves an
array of travelling problems, the Patrol offers serious cabin space, room for as much
luggage as you need, and the kind of rugged mechanical simplicity that promises not to
let you down in remote areas.
