What can one say about La Cantine du Faubourg? It’s light, playful and very French. We’ve tried the Brunch 105 experience, which, by the way, does not stand for the cost of the said brunch and is rather inspired by the address of the original outlet at 105 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore in Paris. In Dubai, however, the restaurant boasts a rather exclusive location in Emirates Towers.

Aside from the awkwardly placed buffet tables, the overall decor of the restaurant is superb, with white curtains flowing from the ceilings onto the walls and windows giving the visitors a feeling of being somewhere divine and exceptional. The terrace is open by seasons and, giving the time of the year, we highly recommend visiting La Cantine du Faubourg in winter, or right about now. The interiors have been spiced up by a collection of painting by a French artist Kokain, which are superb and add the urban feel to otherwise chic and high-end vibe. The paintings were specifically made for the Dubai outlet with the cultural and traditional aspects of the emirate in mind.

With regards to the most important subject, food, we can only say we were pleasantly surprised; we particularly liked the unique cheese selection, such as several Brie options with fruit or truffle filling. The overall buffet is what one would normally expect from a French menu, plenty of salads, smoked salmon, tuna, shrimp, beef accompanied by a wide range of breads. There is also an option for a la carte menu, which includes the seemingly popular Eggs Benedict that tasted amazing.

Overall Brunch 105 at La Cantine de Faubourg is an excellent experience for those who are looking to unwind and catch up with friends in a stylish and classy environment. We highly recommend it!
