VELVET magazine is set to celebrate its 6th year of success, featuring 6 celebrated couture designers from the Gulf and Europe.
UAE-based international print and online magazine VELVET in collaboration with Ali Bakhtiar Designs is set to host fashion and luxury lifestyle extravaganza, featuring shows from 6 internationally-famous couture designers as it sets to celebrate 6 years of its dedication to bridging the world of luxurious Arabia with the East and the West.
VELVET – an idea of Luxury lifestyle that spans from the heart of Arabia to all corners of the world; an idea born from a society like no other founded by the modern Scheherazade, Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassimi in 2010, celebrating the fine and the beautiful from the world of fashion, luxury, travel, health and the land of Arabia.
VELVET Gala is set to open its doors at the Palazzo Versace Dubai on May 14, 2016 showcasing the luxurious and much-celebrated fashion designers such as Renato Balestra, Grimaldi, Amato Couture, Michael Cinco, Ezra Couture and Sheikha Hend’s own line House of Hend. The event will encompass 6 fashion shows followed by the exclusive, VIP-studded Gala Dinner to celebrate 6 years of achievement in print and digital publishing, as well as VELVET‘s many works in supporting Arab and European talent.
Commenting on VELVET Gala, Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassimi stated: “One has to be inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, to allow thoughts the freedom to break their bounds. I wanted my mind to transcend the everyday limitations, to allow my consciousness to expand to every direction and today I find myself with my team in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and we all explore the unchartered territories of man and to discover ourselves to be a greater person than we ever dreamed ourselves to be.”
