Italy, the country of delicious food and rich history, who wouldn’t feel compelled by its cuisine? This time around, we have gone to discover our own piece of Italy in Dubai; we’ve gone to have an Italian lunch and dinner. Here are the best spots we discovered for each activity.

TRE by Roberto Rella

This is the business lunch venue where you would want to take your VIP clients to. The setting is marvellous; located on the top floor of the Radisson Royal Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, this is an excellent restaurant to enjoy fine lunch or dinner the true Italian way. With spectacular views of the Dubai skyline, which are complimented with excellent food -you simply cannot go wrong and are guaranteed to impress your guest. The restaurant prides itself on delivering the authentic Italian cuisine; we particularly enjoyed the vast olive oil options we were offered to compliment our meals. The TRE by Roberto Rella experience is magnified by the excellent service its staff provides, particularly their expansive ability to recommend just the right dish for the occasion. A big round of applause please.

Al Grissino

One of the first things that impresses you is this place’s   location; Al Grissino Restaurant and Lounge is located inside the hanging tunnel which links two skyscrapers in the DIFC. As one would expect, the views from this gorgeous restaurant are spectacular, overlooking Downtown Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Road. When it comes to food, we loved how it was served, which did a great job at building up our appetites. Even those who are not the fans of seafood will be pleasantly surprised, as one of us was, with their Tagliolini con scampi e porchini -Tagliolini with scampi and porchini mushrooms. There is a vast choice of authentic, fine Italian food complimented by a range of sides and beverages to suit every guest. Our dinner was rounded off with the choices of amazing desserts, albeit a bit heavy, but leaving a fantastic taste on our lips. Al Grissino is a place created for a special occasion indeed.
