In the spirit of Ramadan, Glamour Hair Salons, a bespoke hair and beauty salon in Abu Dhabi, is giving its clients the opportunity to take part in the Little Princess Trust initiative and enjoy a twenty percent discount on their cut and blow dry service when donating.

The Little Princess Trust is a hair donation movement which started in 2006, in the United Kingdom, as a way to provide real hair wigs, free of charge to children and young adults, who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments and other illnesses. This cause was brought to the UAE, by Glamour Hair Salons when it opened in 2010, with Little Princess Trust becoming the salons official affiliated charity. The UK Salon has collected more than forty donations to date in this year alone.

“Being from the UK, I’ve seen how this initiative has helped thousands of children after their strenuous treatments. This is why we decided to partner with them, by bringing awareness of this trust to the Middle East, and how people can help those girls who have lost their hair” says Rita Bains, founder of Glamour Hair Salons.

Women across the UAE are welcome to donate their hair at any time, even after the Ramadan period, as this is something the salon carries out all year long. Glamour Hair Salons prides itself in delivering the highest standard of hair and beauty services to its clients.

Clients can donate their hair by dropping by to the salon and enjoying a twenty percent discount on their hair cut. There are certain guidelines to follow for the donation, and some conditions that apply:

Hair that is more than 17 cm in length.

Clean, dry hair in good condition, and of any natural colour.

Straight, wavy, curly, permed or chemically straightened can be used.

Dyed, bleached/highlighted (any dyes must be of a natural colour) can be used.

Unnatural coloured hair such as blue, pink, purple cannot be used.

Grey hair and hair extensions cannot be used.

As the Ramadan period is one of reflection and giving, being affiliated with the Little Princess Trust is Glamour Hair Salons’ way of giving back to the community during the Holy month and all year round.
