Karl Lagerfeld is pleased to announce the launch of “Karl Stripes” for Pre-Autumn 2018. This collection looks to one of fashion’s most iconic motifs, stripes, in every direction and every size, for a modern take on the timeless pattern. Reflecting Karl Lagerfeld’s signature DNA, a minimalist black and white palette is offset with just a few pops of colour. The collection launched on the 15th of May, at Karl Lagerfeld stores, online at Karl.com and via select wholesale partners.

Ready-to-wear ranges from casual daytime essentials to sartorial, feminine silhouettes. Each style features a stripe in some capacity, from horizontal bateau stripes to graphic lines that mimic the letter “K” shape. Yarn-dyed tees and sweatshirts pair with silky bomber jackets or satin culottes. Key silhouettes include wide-leg pants and a structured cotton dress with an A-line skirt and faux sleeves. There are also two 100% silk shirt-dresses: one with dramatic bell sleeves, and another with a long neck scarf. Finally, Karl Lagerfeld’s famous feline, Choupette, makes an appearance in embroidered tees.

Accessories play with colour pops of bright red, cobalt blue and sunny yellow. Everyday carryall styles include two shoppers, a luxury canvas bag with webbing straps, a nylon backpack, and a roomy weekender. A shoulder bag is re-imagined with a double chain strap, allowing it to be worn cross-body or carried as a handbag. Small accessories include a glittery minaudiere, keychains, phone covers, a wallet, a pouch, and a silk scarf; all feature striped graphics of Choupette’s silhouette. For casual days, a black baseball cap is topped with a striped Karl logo.
