Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled ‘The Opus Collection’ a one-off series of Bespoke motor cars inspired by history’s most iconic composers and created exclusively for the customers of Abu Dhabi Motors, the brand’s official dealer in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The collection was launched in a fashion befitting the theme on the grand stage at the Du Forum on Yas Island with a symphony of classical and contemporary pieces played by the NSO Symphony Orchestra. A gathering of over 300 of the brand’s patrons enjoyed the performance before viewing these hand-crafted masterpieces make their bow in the nation’s Capital.

Opus, referring to a “set of musical compositions,” is a Bespoke series conceptualized by Abu Dhabi Motors in coordination with the Bespoke craftsmen at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, UK, which blends automotive and musical compositions beautifully through an intricate display of craftsmanship. Like a musical score, each detail in these Rolls-Royce motor cars has been expertly crafted to create the final masterpiece. The Collection includes three Phantom, four Ghost and three Wraith models, each of which is inspired by legendary classical music composers.

The completion of “The Opus Collection” took over two years from conceptualization to creation. The musical notes from the actual compositions were meticulously included in the veneer marquetry and inlays of these incredible motor cars. The notes have also been embroidered into the headrests, the rear centre armrest and across the headliner, while Bespoke illuminated tread plates show the composer’s name upon entry.

All scores and design details were carefully created in collaboration with an on-site musical expert to ensure accuracy. Several unique features reinforce the attention to detail that Rolls-Royce Motor Cars customers expect and rely upon, from the Bespoke exterior finish featuring newly developed glass paints to a debossed quote in the glovebox,.
