Mandarin Oriental, Miami further invests in the Miami art scene with new ‘Art in Residence’ program. Featuring ongoing artist exhibitions on rotation throughout the Forbes Five-Star property, this new initiative is part of a dedicated commitment to promote South Florida’s engaging and talented art community. All artwork is available for purchase.
“We are excited and committed to supporting the local South Florida community and showcasing the talented artists that live among us,” shares Robert Lowe, General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Miami. “We are proud to have our hotel serve as the backdrop to display their talents and market their works.”
The Art in Residence program launches with pieces from German-born sculpture artist Rainer Lagemann and Argentina-born contemporary artist Flavio Galvan. Lagemann’s sculptures, created with hollow steel squares, are on display in the lobby until end of April, while Flavio Galvan’s spirited and colorful canvases can be found adorning the walls of La Mar by Gastòn Acurio and Mandarin Oriental, Miami’s meeting spaces.
