Isabel Marant opened the doors to her eponymous store in The Dubai Mall, at the first floor of brand new ‘Fashion Avenue’ extension. This location marks the second store in the UAE for Isabel Marant, following the Mall of the Emirates boutique. Mirroring the artful sophistication that defines the French designer’s aesthetic, the intimate space makes a seamless addition to the storied landscape.

Located in the world’s largest and most visited shopping and entertainment destination, Marant‘s 232 square meter space, offers a unique design aesthetic- drawing inspiration from 60s French experimental movement, characterized by self-expression, imagination, durability, and experimentation. This concept, imagined by Marant’s team, is illustrated by new materials and finishes developed especially for this new location, such as sculptural columns covered by 95,000 handmade clay tiles or tanner’s brown acrylic fibre resin façade, worked in close interaction with the Swedish designer and painter Anton Karlsson.

The décor contrasts heavy brutalist volumes with thin, ethereal elements. At the centre of the space a platform delimited by three adjacent organic columns outline the accessory area in a sculptural and inviting way. Combined with a 70s Mario Bellini sofa, imposing oak shelves and wall piece jewellery frames, this central area is a warm and hearty retro futuristic living room. Clothing is displayed around this structure on light and airy racks that bring contrasting lightness to the room. A forest of concrete and ceramics totems embody Marant key language elements.

Defining the eternally desirable Parisian aesthetic with her covetable designs, Isabel Marant has brought her wearable style to women worldwide as her label has expanded from its Paris base across the globe. Over twenty-three years since her launch, she remains true to her vision trying on each garment before it leaves her studio to ensure everything works in the everyday life of a real woman.

The designer, who opened her first boutique in Paris in 1998, will now have twenty-six doors across the globe. This new Dubai based location will house the main line, as well as a selection of the casual and affordable Isabel Marant Etoile collection, and her brand-new line of accessories.
