Issey Miyake Men AW16 collection is about capturing the essence of comfort that is translated into an elegant and sophisticated product. It places man into wilderness, the nomadic way of life and the constant fight against Mother Nature and its harsh elements – wind, snow, ice and rain. This collection projects a man that is destined to survive in a harsh environment.

The collection is divided into three sectors: Knitwear, Horse Motif and Wovenwear.

Knitwear is printed by large, voluminous full-length coats in bordeaux and turquoise created from a newly-developed organic fabric made of a mixture of horse hair thread and wool, followed by other knitwear items including sweaters and knit dresses.

Horse Motif is a style that gradually changes into a modern, urban and sporty look. Photos by Kenji Hirasawa are printed onto jerseys and broadcloth shirts. Parkas and polyester overcoats are paired with tightly fit pants.

Wovenwear features signature workwear looks. All made of functional, lightweight fabrics, the collection features blousons and items in cut jacquard; a jacket and a duster and a warm dust-patterned print.

Overall, Issey Miyake Neonomad collection delivers a fully decked-out wardrobe for the harsh winter while also giving other, lighter and more functioning options for any weather.
