Dolce & Gabbana introduces a new and lighter interpretation of its iconic fragrance The One: The One Eau de Toilette that invites women to an immersion into the world of feminine fragrances. A fresh new vision of a celebrated fragrance The One Eau de Toilette is an enchanting, sensual and feminine scent, with an added twist of freshness that magnifies the key note of madonna lily.
More vibrantly alive than ever, the floral fragrance was captured in all its nuances by the perfumer Michel Girard, to create a new floral addiction and exalts its sensuality. The madonna lily’s white petals dusted with golden pollen meet blossoms of Italian bergamot, mandarin essences, silky lychee and luscious white peach. A bespoke essence of ylang moheli, especially distilled to reveal its luminous lily facets, is enhanced by tender orange blossom and honeyed broom absolutes. A sensual drydown of vanilla, vetiver and musk wraps the exuberant bouquet in a sensual trail.
The One range also includes The One Eau de Parfum, created by Christine Nagel, a deeper fragrance experience; the madonna lily floral heart subtly contrasts with the sensuality of rich vanilla, combined with enveloping ambery and musky notes. The One reaches its highest intensity with The One Essence, by Michel Girard, a variation of sumptuous white flowers: the signature floral scent of madonna lily is associated to jasmine and lily of the valley essences. To showcase the new Eau de Toilette, Dolce & Gabbana revisits The One’s signature bottle with taller, slender and elegant lines. The geometric gold cap, sleek black logo and light gold box reprise the colour codes of the range.

The new campaign is set in an open-air market in Naples. The golden light of the Mediterranean sun. Street performers and vendors jostle with families enjoying delicious Italian food in a cheerful and festive atmosphere. Shot in the streets of Naples with real people living their daily life, the new advertising campaign for The One was directed by the Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone, known for working documentary-style with a handheld camera. Motionless, the visual yet captures this narrative essence perfectly. The scene is scored by the playful “Tu vuò fa’ l’americano” (“You want to be an American”), a 1965 Italian hit written in Neapolitan, combining swing and jazz.
